PERFORMANCE CLASSES FOR KIDS AGES 6-8, 9-10 AND 11-14

The Tri-City Youth Choir is offering Bravo! performance skills classes for children ages 6-14. This is a 1 1/2 hour exploratory class that will touch on aspects of vocal, dance and performance weekly. Principles will be taught with the use of interactive games, instruction and singing. They will include but not be limited to the following:

Vocal - Instructor - Joseph Haws

• Music notation

• Sight singing- pitch & rhythm

• Singing in tune

• Proper breathing & posture

• Sound placement & mouth shape

• Dynamics

• Clear, full singing

Dance - Instructor - Jill Clayton

• Become comfortable moving the body in new ways

• Explore different rhythms and movement

• Gain confidence dancing in front of others

• Learn how to dance and sing simultaneously

• Learn basic dance steps

Performance - Instructors - Thomas and Veronica Klicker

• Develop characters

• Tell a story through movement & expression

• Improvisation

Class times-

• Sessions are held 4:15 -5:45 Wednesdays, and will run for 13 weeks starting January 29th with NO classes on Ash Wednesday, or April 8th during Spring Break.

• 3 Opening performances for Forte! in May

• Class T-shirt included in tuition

Tuition-

• $185 per semester

Location-Lord of Life Lutheran Church, located at 640 N. Columbia Center Blvd, Kennewick

Note: Each performer will receive ONE free ticket to the Forte! show with ONE additional ticket per family.
